Dr. HASSAN MAKKI

Dr. Hassan Makki is a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist with over twelve years of experience in the greater Phoenix area.

Dr. Makki was born in Beirut, Lebanon and migrated to the US as a child. After graduating with honors in his high school class in Michigan, he attended the University of Michigan, where he Earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry.

He graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine with Honors. Dr. Makki moved to Phoenix after completing his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship in Michigan at Garden City Hospital.
He completed Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at St. John’s Hospital in Macomb, Michigan, where he trained in both coronary and peripheral interventions.

Dr. Makki is one of few cardiologists specializing complete Cardiovascular Care, Peripheral Arterial Disease and complete Vein Disease management.

Cardiac care including, treatment of coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure and rhythm disorders. In addition to complete cardiac care, Dr. Makki specializes in the restoration of blood flow to the arteries of the legs to prevent lower limb amputations and improve cramping symptoms through advanced, minimally invasive techniques.

Dr Makki also has extensive experience in venous treatments for a variety of vein issues including leg swelling and cramping, varicose veins and blood clots.

As a strong proponent of preventive medicine, Dr. Makki advocates and lives a very healthy lifestyle.
He believes combining daily exercise with healthy, unprocessed foods with guideline-informed
medication based on individual need is essential.

Dr. Makki is also a proud father of his 14-year-old son, Samer, who enjoys jujitsu and playing basketball.
Dr. Makki enjoys traveling, cooking, working out and connecting with people from all walks of life, in addition to providing compassionate care with excellence to his patients.
